Don’t make things harder than they are.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them, and I will raise them up on the last day.  It is written in the Prophets: ’They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to Me.”  - John 6:44-45 (NIV)

"…and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." - 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)

Have you ever played the challenge of tossing ping pong balls into a bucket?  The challenge is for you is to simply “get all the ping pong balls into the bucket.”

Perhaps you succeeded and made it in the bucket? Or perhaps you did not make it in.  The question would be why not?  Did you attempt to “throw” the balls into the bucket? Why not simply gather them up and place all of them into the bucket?

Often, we tend to do more harm than good in so many things in life.  We can even impose rules that are not there, like the challenge with the ping pong balls. It was not stated that one had to “toss” them into the bucket, nor that one could not just gather them up and place them in.

As believers and followers of Christ so often we tend to do the very same thing regarding our faith and sharing Christ with others.  We end up focusing on restraints and hurdles that are not necessary, and then causing more harm than good.

We are to keep our focus about the higher value. (Revelations 7:9) Trust that God has a mission to reach ALL PEOPLE.  We need to stay steady knowing that people must hear to listen, and they must learn to come to Jesus.

All we need to give is our “yes” to Christ to teach others about Him. We do not need to worry about the “how”, because Christ has already given each of us our individual “how to”, our testimony.  Just as Christ spoke to many witnesses, so are we to do this.

We can be strong in His grace and know that He will draw them to Him. We are His therefore, we are to be His faithful believers who commit to teach others.
